Since marriage is permanent, what should we look for in a mate? We need someone who will fulfill God's role for them. Someone who submits to God's will. If they obey God, then their treatment of us will be satisfying. If they obey God, then all disagreements and problems can be handled.

  3. Is a woman who refuses to submit to her husband pleasing to God? (No - Col 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.)
